It is important to set your own goals. Without goals you could be lost and end up wandering.

Goals also give you a sense of purpose, and once you have met them, they give you a sense of fulfillment. Do you want to learn more about how to set your goals?

Today, I have some tips for goal setting. If you want to learn how to set them to achieve your desired outcome, keep reading to the end of this article.

To start off my tips for goal setting, I would like to emphasize that you should write down your goals on a piece of paper, so that you can see them.

Many people are too lazy to write down their goals because they think that if their goals are stored somewhere in their mind, that is good enough for them.

Well, I am here to tell you that writing them down is more effective. If you set your goals in your mind, you may forget about them.

Writing them down ensures that you do not forget them, It also serves better in terms of motivating you to push yourself and work harder.

When setting your goals, do ensure that they are measurable and realistic. It is no point setting a goal that you cannot achieve by your own efforts.

However, do not set small goals where you hardly need to break a sweat in order to achieve them. These are not goals. They are just wants.

Goals should be challenging and push you to the next level. However, make sure you can measure your progress as well. I suggest that you break down your goals into small bite-sized tasks which you can accomplish in a shorter amount of time.

To wrap up my tips for goal setting, I want to ask you a question. Are the goals that you set really what you want to achieve? Are they what you really dream about?

Maybe you think that is what you want to achieve because someone else followed a similar path. Or maybe they are just other people's expectations.

Maybe people expect you to be this or be that, but do you really want to follow that path? Give yourself some time to reflect on what you really want and not what others want for you to achieve.
